Log Extract (Annotated Screencast, derived from my Worklogs) of the creation of a 3D prop, based on a render from the prompt-driven generative art AI service MidJourney. The render is created, using MidJourney. Then it is converted into texture assets, using Gimp. A simple model is created in Blender, then the textures are mapped onto it. This allows the "prop" render from MidJourney to be used as a 3D asset. Total work time on this was less than two hours. I did this as a proof-of-principle, in evaluating applications for incorporating prompt-driven AI art into my artistic workflow. Software used: MidJourney (SaaS/Platform): https://midjourney.com Gnu IMP / GIMP (Gnu GPL 3.0): https://gimp.org Blender (Gnu GPL 3.0): https://blender.org Music is from MusOpen: https://musopen.org/music/43775-the-planets-op-32/ Art/Screencast by Terry Hancock: https://mastodon.art/@TerryHancock
